وی افزود: یکی از کریدورهای ترافیکی شمال به جنوب در ادامه بلوار جمهوری است که گره های حل نشده ای دارد و باید به فوریت برنامه ریزی های لازم در این زمینه صورت گیرد،
رئیس کمیسیون عمران و حمل و نقل شورای اسلامی شهر کرج بیان کرد: یکی دیگر از این تقاطعات نیز بلوار شهید موذن-ادامه جمهوری اسلامی شمالی بوده که طرح آن درحال نهایی شدن است و به زودی به پیشواز مناقصه انتخاب پیمانکار می رود.
رحیمی با بیان اینکه پیوست های اجتماعی و فرهنگی میدان جمهوری کرج نسبت به پوسته سازه ای آن به مراتب از اهمیت بیشتری برخوردار است، اعلام کرد: یکی از گره های مهم دیگر، ترافیک این میدان است.
وی با اشاره به اینکه میدان و بلوار جمهوری از محل های تجمعات ملی و مذهبی شهر کرج محسوب می شود، ادامه داد: طرح های ترافیکی این معبر باید بررسی و به روز شوند، سپس با اخذ نظرات اعضای شورا و نخبگان اجتماعی و فرهنگی و در پایان، با مشورت های نهایی اجرایی شود.
لازم به ذکر است پروژه زیرگذر میدان جمهوری اسلامی کرج با یک طرح ناقص در سال ۱۳۹۹ آغاز و با مخالفت جدی بسیاری از شهروندان و مسئولین شهری همراه و در نهایت، با تحمیل خسارت حدود چند میلیاردی به مدیریت شهری، متوقف شد.
