وی افزود: بسته پیشنهادی که توسط جمعی از نمایندگان با مشورت صاحب‌نظران تهیه شده، آماده ارائه به مسئولین ذی‌ربط است و در حال رایزنی هستیم. سازوکار فعلی برای مدیریت این بازار کفایت نمی‌کند و نیاز به اصلاح و تکمیل دارد. دولت باید علاج واقعه پیش از وقوع کرده، تبعات تصمیماتش را بسنجد و پیش‌بینی کند نه اینکه مانند جراحیِ ارز ترجیحی، پس از اقدام، متوجه پیامدهای سنگین معیشتی و اجتماعی آن شود.

عسگری اضافه کرد: اما زیرپوست شهر اتفاقات دیگری در حال رخ دادن است و معیشت مردم زیر حملات تورمی پیاپی قرار دارد که اگر این دست فرمان فعلی، اصلاح نشود نگرانی‌ها تداوم خواهد داشت. اختلاف نظرهایی در خصوص میزان وابستگی و نسبت‌سنجی دلار با تورم و نقدینگی و نیز درباره نحوه مدیریت نرخ ارز در این شرایط پیچیده وجود دارد.
