به گزارش پایگاه خبری دیده بان البرز، علی قاسم پور، رئیس شورای اسلامی شهر کرج در آستانه سوم فروردین و روز جهانی هواشناسی گفت: امروزه استفاده از بیانیه های سازمان هواشناسی به قدری گسترش یافته که می توان اذعان کرد که به نوعی به زندگی مردم ورود کرده است.
وی با بیان اینکه هواشناسی در حوزه مدیریت شهری نیز، نقش اساسی و کاربردی در پیشگیری از رخدادها دارد، بیان کرد: اقلیم و تغییر آن از اصلی‌ترین چالش هاست و نقش اطلاعات هواشناسی برای جلوگیری از خسارات ناشی از تغییر اقلیم بسیار مهم و انکار ناپذیر است.
رئیس شورای اسلامی شهر کرج با تاکید بر نقش بسیار مهم و تاثیرگذار دانش هواشناسی در مدیریت شهری، مکان‌یابی پروژه و نوع استفاده از مصالح در آن، تصریح کرد: پیش بینی های سازمان هواشناسی در فصول مختلف سال به ویژه فصول پر بارش از اهمیت ویژه ای برخوردار است.
قاسم پور در پایان سخنان خود اظهار کرد: به کارگیری اطلاعیه های هواشناسی موجب برنامه ریزی بهتر برای ارائه خدمات در سطح شهر در عملیات های زمستانی شهرداری می شود و تاثیر آن در کسب رضایت شهروندان کاملاً مشهود است.
شایان ذکر است شعار روز جهانی هواشناسی در سال ۲۰۲۳ «آینده وضع هوا، اقلیم و آب در گذر نسل‌ها» انتخاب شده است.
