به گزارش پایگاه خبری دیده بان البرز، علی چهارمحالی، مدیرکل زندان‌های استان البرز خبر داد: طی هفت ماهه نخست سال جاری، به همت اداره کل زندان‌های استان، ستاد دیه، گذشت شکات و پذیرش اعسار از سوی مقامات قضایی، ۲۴۶ زندانی جرائم غیرعمد و بدهکار مالی از زندان های استان، آزاد شدند.
وی توضیح داد: مبلغ کل بدهی این زندانیان بالغ بر یک هزار و ۶۵۱ میلیارد ریال بود که پس از دعوت از شکات و تشکیل جلسات اصلاح ذات البین و اخذ تخفیف از آنان توسط مددکاران و کارکنان زندان‌ها و ستاد دیه، زمینه آزادی این زندانیان فراهم شد.
مدیرکل زندان‌های استان البرز ضمن قدردانی از خیرین و مسئولانی که در این زمینه تلاش کردند، بیان کرد: بالغ بر ۸۵ میلیارد ریال از منابع ستاد دیه و ۹۵۰ میلیارد ریال نیز از طریق گذشت شکات و پذیرش اعسار صرف آزادی این زندانیان شده است.
چهارمحالی اذعان کرد: با توجه به بدهکاری محکومین مالی و داشتن شاکی خصوص تا زمانی که بدهی پرداخت نشود آزادی محقق نخواهد شد و همین امر بنیان خانواده بدهکاران را نیز در معرض آسیب قرار می دهد، لذا کمک به آزادی زندانی کمک به حفظ بنیان خانواده است.
