از سویی دلم می‌خواهد قلم را کنار بگذارم و به روزهای شاد با تو بودن فکر کنم، از سوی دیگر دلم نمی‌خواهد باور کنم که دیگر تو را نداریم. احساس امنیتی که به‌واسطه حضور شیردلانی همچون تو و هم‌رزمانت در حساس‌ترین نقاط مرزی این خاک، برای مردم میهنم به وجود آمده، وصف‌ناشدنی است. ایران تمام صلابتش را مدیون شماهایی است که پیروزمندانه و تندروار در میدان نبرد حاضر شدید و جنگیدید.

به‌راستی‌که چقدر داشتن تو زیبا بود. دلم تنگ است برای بودنت، برای شجاعت و مهربانیت. به‌راستی تو چه کرده بودی که هیبت نامت لرزه بر اندام دشمن می‌انداخت؟ چه کردی که دشمن حقیر، جرأت رویارویی با تو را نداشت و در سیاهی شب روحت را به پرواز درآورد و ما را تا ابد داغدار تو کرد؟ کدام کلامت رعب و وحشت بر دلشان انداخته و ترس را در چهره‌هایشان پدیدار کرده بود؟
در قنوت نمازت، وقتی دستانت را بالا می‌گرفتی و آن عقیق سرخ را به خداوند نشان می‌دادی، از او چه خواستی که تنها همان انگشترت را برایمان به یادگار گذاشت؟ حتماً خبر داری که اندکی بعد از همان روزهایی که توطئه اهریمن، دستان تو را به گوشه‌ای از جاده‌های پراضطراب پرتاب کرد و عطر شهادتت در دنیا پیچید، دست دادن در دنیا ممنوع شد؛ دستانی که عباس گونه از تن جدا شد و دل عالمی را خون کرد، اما دختری که در مکتب تو، مقاومت را آموزش دیده بود، مقتدرانه ایستاد و زینب گونه خطبه‌خوانی و ملتی را سرافراز کرد.
