به گزارش پایگاه خبری دیده بان البرز، فریدون محمدی، مدیر‌کل میراث‌فرهنگی، گردشگر‌ی و صنایع‌دستی استان البرز گفت: با توجه به واگذاری کاخ شهرستانک به سرمایه‌گذار بومی بخش خصوصی، عملیات مرمت و باز‌ساز‌ی آن در دستور کار قرار گرفته است.
وی ادامه داد: بر اساس بررسی‌های انجام شده توسط کارشناسان حوزه مرمت اداره کل و آسیب‌های وارده، به زودی عملیات اجرایی مرمت این بنای تاریخی آغاز خواهد شد.
محمدی بیان کرد: با توجه به موقعیت جغرافیایی کاخ شهرستانک و قرار گرفتن در محور پر‌تردد کرج_چالوس و عبور گردشگر‌ان و مسافر‌ان در تمام طول سال، با تغییر کار‌بر‌ی، امکان بازدید از آن فراهم خواهد شد که بدین منظور باید مسیر دسترسی منتهی به این اثر تاریخی بهساز‌ی شود.
مجموعه تاریخی کاخ شهرستانک از دو بخش اندرو‌نی و بیرونی تشکیل شده و متعلق به دوره قاجار بوده و در ۱۶ شهریور ماه ۱۳۷۶ به شماره ۱۹۲۵ در فهرست آثار ملی به ثبت رسیده است.
