به گزارش پایگاه خبری دیده بان البرز، مهرداد کیانی، شهردار کرج با اشاره به تأثیر استفاده از حمل و نقل عمومی در کاهش تردد خودروهای تک سرنشین و به دنبال آن کاهش آلودگی هوا، گفت: بر همین اساس توسعه ناوگان اتوبوسرانی در دستور کار مدیریت شهری قرار گرفته است.
وی افزود: با پیگری‌های اخیر و مساعدت شورای اسلامی شهر کرج در این خصوص، به زودی قرارداد خرید ۸۳ دستگاه اتوبوس جدید منعقد و این اتوبوس‌ها به ناوگان حمل و نقل عمومی کلانشهر کرج اضافه می‌شوند. ۹۱ میلیارد تومان اعتبار صرف خرید این تعداد اتوبوس شده است که ۷۳ درصد آن از طریق یارانه دولتی تأمین خواهد شد.
شهردار کرج با بیان اینکه تاکنون پنج دستگاه اتوبوس به سازمان حمل و نقل بار و مسافر شهری شهرداری کرج اعزام شده، اظهار کرد: ۵۰ دستگاه اتوبوس نیز که از قبل خریداری شده بود طی مصوبه شورای اسلامی شهر کرج مبنی بر جذب راننده پایه یکم به ناوگان حمل و نقل عمومی تزریق شد.
کیانی با بیان اینکه مابقی اتوبوس‌ها نیز پس از تأمین اعتبار به ناوگان حمل و نقل عمومی کلانشهر کرج اضافه می‌شوند، توضیح داد: افزایش ناوگان عمومی علاوه بر کاهش ترافیک و آلودگی هوا، کمک قابل توجهی به کاهش اتلاف وقت شهروندان می‌کند.
