چه زیبا بودند سنت های گذشتگان ما، آن ها در این شب انار محبت، دانه می کردند و طراوت هندوانه را به سرمای دستان ما هدیه می دادند، کرسی هایی با دورچین های زیبا و سنتی و سینی بزرگ روی آن که با آجیل، تنقلات و دنیایی از خوراکی های رنگارنگ پر می شد و پدربزرگ خندان و مهربان که با حافظ خوانی، برایمان شیرین زبانی می کرد.
مادربزرگ با یک سینی چای خوشرنگ و قندپهلو آرام آرام به سمت کرسی می آمد و هر کس برای او جایی باز می کرد تا کنارش بنشیند. در این شب همه فارغ از غصه های روزگار دور هم جمع می شدند و از روزهای خوب خدا سخن می گفتند و هر کس به دور از پیچ و خم های زندگی، شنونده حرف های دیگری بود.
آن روزها یلدا طولانی ترین شب سال بود اما به سرعت می گذشت و شیرینی کنار هم بودن و لبخندهای زیبایش برای اهل خانه، ماندگار می شد. امروز چقدر جای بعضی چیزها خالی است؛ جای گلدان های شمعدانی مادربزرگ که چشم انتظاری هایش را با آن ها تقسیم می کرد، جای دعاهای پدربزرگ بر سر سجاده و …
