به گزارش پایگاه خبری دیده بان البرز، سیدمحمد آقامیری، رئیس سازمان دامپزشکی کشور گفت: سالانه ۳۶۵ میلیون دز واکسن دامی یعنی ۹۵ درصد در کشور تولید می‌شود که دارای کیفیت مطلوبی هستند. میزان واردات واکسن‌های دامی به کشور نیز سالانه ۶۰ میلیون دز است و واکسن هایی مانند تب برفکی و آنتروتوکسمی را شامل می شود که از کشورهایی مثل روسیه، ترکیه و اروپا وارد می شوند.
رئیس سازمان دامپزشکی کشور میزان نیاز کشور به واکسن‌های طیور را ۱۱ میلیارد دز در سال عنوان و مطرح کرد: سالانه حدود ۳.۵ میلیارد دز واکسن طیور در کشور تولید و ۷.۵ میلیارد دز واکسن طیور نیز از کشورهایی نظیر فرانسه، ایتالیا و اسپانیا وارد کشور می‌شود.
آقامیری درباره طرح اصلاح قانون دامپزشکی نیز تصریح کرد: این طرح که از سوی نمایندگان مجلس ارائه شده، در کمیته‌های زیرمجموعه کمیسیون کشاورزی آب، منابع طبیعی و محیط زیست در حال بررسی است و دستگاه‌های مرتبط از جمله سازمان دامپزشکی کشور نظرات خود را در مورد آن مطرح کرده اند و تنها یک جلسه جمع‌بندی نظرات باقی مانده است که منتظر تعیین زمان این جلسه هستیم.
