وی از برگزاری این مسابقات در ۸۰ محله شهر کرج خبر داد و مطرح کرد: در این دوره، حدود ۴ هزار و ۵۰۰ نفر با یکدیگر به رقابت پرداختند که از این تعداد، ۷۶۱ نفر در رشته حفظ قرآن کریم و ۳ هزار و ۷۶۸ نفر در رشته های قرائت و ترتیل قرآن کریم و اذان شرکت کردند.

رئیس اداره قرآنی و مذهبی سازمان فرهنگی، ورزشی و اجتماعی شهرداری کرج با بیان اینکه در برگزاری جشن ولادت امام حسن مجتبی (ع) و توزیع افطاری ساده در محلات کم برخوردار مهرشهر نیز مشارکت داشته ایم، افزود: غرفه «قرآن بخوانید، جایزه بگیرید» نیز به مدت ۱۰ روز در جریان جشنواره لاله ها در پارک چمران برپا شد.
